That's gotta be some kind of record. For reference, we were not even ranked last year until week three, when we entered at No. 25. We did not reach No. 6 until week 10. In 2006, we were ranked for about three weeks midseason, reaching No. 19, before disappearing for the remainder of the year. Highlights of the SEMO game are below.(Sorry about the dorky link. Apparently Fox Sports won't let you embed video to a blog.)

This is so dominating. ESPN's article says, "it was over when SEMO agreed to come to Columbia and take on the Tigers."
Love it.
They scored almost all of their points in the first half. Remember the days when we lost games against teams like SEMO?
I choose not to.
We're even (finally) getting respect in the USA Today poll, bumped up to No. 6 from No. 7. They consistently ranked us one place behind the AP. That said, for reasons I don't understand, ESPN bumped us to second behind OU in the Big 12 Power Rankings. Facists.
