Am I dreaming?

I think I woke up in a brand new world, and so far I like it.

McCain leads Obama for the first time -- 54-44 according to USA Today/Gallup, Rasmussen has him 47-46, and Gallup Daily Tracking has him +3. This adds credence to the idea that Obama has peaked, since his poll numbers largely haven't moved since before Hillary dropped out of the race and he saw no real bump from his convention.

MSNBC demoted the shockingly partisan Chris Matthews and Keith Olberman from anchoring political coverage. USA Today describes the money quote: "...Joe Scarborough was discussing positive developments in John McCain's campaign at one point when Olbermann was heard on an offstage microphone saying: 'Jesus, Joe, why don't you get a shovel?' " Class.

The San Francisco Chronicle seems to be swinging to McCain. OK, I'm exaggerating a bit, but who thought we'd see former Democratic Mayor Willie Brown (who was and is enormously popular) extol McCain-Palin ticket, while Tammy Bruce, a former president of the LA chapter of N.O.W., endorses it?

And, did I mention MU is No. 6 for the third week in a row. I may be in heaven.

I read about that. Interesting turn of events. The coverage has definitely been McCain (or really Palin) dominated. Looking forward to the debates.

Not in heaven....but close! Mizzou..what is there to say??? Kicked butt and took NO names!! As far as Mc Cain, the bounce from Obama has not caused the furor they wanted. John is not a great orator but he does make sense. Maybe people are actually staring to listen instead of voting (primaries) for the rock star. Palin helps no doubt. I watched both conventions. I hope Chris Matthews and Chris Olberman can find a job with Obama...apparantly they already work for him. To say the commentary was SLANTED is an understatement. So much from NEWS media these days is COMMENTARY media. It is not good!

It is so interesting that Palin has made such am impression. If she gets in maybe she can cut some of the ridiculous FAT and excess spending. I wonder how much stuff she can find to sell on E-Bay in Washington?

With Meg Whitman on McCain's team, they'll have the inside track on how to eBay Washington. How about a reverse-bid process for earmarks?
