No question. VP candidates deserve a lot of scrutiny. But, as a good friend, who is also a producer for a major news network (not FOX), recently told us, the media's vendetta against Palin is turning her (our friend) into a Republican.
If you're curious about the inanity of the Palin rumors, this site is worth checking out. For example, paraphrasing from the site: Yes, she backed an expensive sports complex in Wasilla when Mayor there. That's likely a ding against her record as a fiscal conservative. But does it strike no one else as strange that a hockey rink gets so much attention when Obama's relationship with convicted felon Tony Rezko, his relationship with unrepentant terrorist William Ayers, not to mention his voting record in Illinois and the U.S. Congress, gets so little? (Note the press conference clip, below.)
Writing in Britain's Financial Times, Clive Crook described the anti-Palin hysteria this way: "The attitude that expressed itself in response to the Palin nomination is the best weapon in the Republican armoury. Rely on the Democrats to keep it primed."
