Large Hadron Collider "Actually Worked"

One of the biggest scientific breakthroughs in perhaps decades occurred today when the Large Hadron Collider was tested for the first time and, in the words of one of the physicists, "actually worked!"

London's Guardian says the 17-mile machine, which runs beneath villages and cow pastures on the Swiss-Franco border, might discover never-seen-before particles; dark matter, the mysterious substance that makes up 25% of the universe; black holes; and possibly even hidden dimensions.
